Places in St.Louis – Boom Pilates

Exploring STL is one of my favorite things to do. When a new place opens up that sounds interesting I have to check it out. I found Boom Pilates on Instagram and it immediately caught my attention. Having been getting really interested into fitness and wanting to expand my knowledge I signed up for a class. Danyal Timmermann the owner was nice enough to gift me a private session just her and I. It was amazing! I learned so much while getting a workout in. Danyal was so kind and filled with knowledge about pilates and wellness. She introduced me to its history and how she uses it in her everyday life. The environment in Boom is nothing like I had ever experienced before. Bright and fun colors, amazing music and ambiance, and the whole place even smells like roses. My experience was so personal and fun I knew I wanted to start going on a regular basis. Each time I come I am blown away how much I love it. It is such a fun space for women to come and have fun and get into pilates! Each time I go I leave feeling inspired and like I had the most amazing workout of my life.

Danyal has a custom pink Cadillac!

Reformer work in a beautiful space.

The group classes were just as amazing. I loved meeting new people, connecting over fitness and gaining new information each time. The sessions are 50 minutes long and trust me it’s a workout! The women were all just having fun doing pilates and loving every minute of it.

If you are looking for a fun space to get fit, wanting to try pilates, or are a pilates/fitness expert I promise there is something for you at Boom Pilates. Danyal and her team have classes of different ability level from beginner to advanced. They also have private sessions available as well. If you are interested in trying a class I recommend visiting the Boom Pilates Instagram page here. They will be happy to book you a class that fits your level and interest. Happy Booming!

Fitness Edit: Pharm Organics CBD

As someone who has been into fitness and working out for a while, I have tried a lot of products to try and maximize my fitness experience. This includes pre workouts, protein shakes, recovery drinks and so on. For me this process was trial and error. After doing a lot of research I realized a lot of the products out today are just overall bad for you and don’t have appropriate ingredients to be sustainable for long periods of time. For example pre workouts having wayyy to much caffeine and other harmful ingredients.

I have used so many in the past that have just left me jittery and shaking and then a horrible crash afterwards. They usually taste bad and have a terrible texture as well. Looking for a lower caffeine, natural ingredient and organic alternative I stumbled upon Pharm Organics. Their CBD Energy+Focus packets looked just like I was looking for so I decided to try!

My first impressions were that the packaging was so cute! The flavor of the drink was “Berry Fusion” and honestly to me it tasted similar to Kool Aid which was surprisingly good and didn’t have any sort of weird texture or after taste. They did not make me jittery at all. The CBD sort of helps combat that as well as has anti inflammatory properties to help your muscles during recovery! I did not crash later on in the day either. Overall I liked this product a lot and I would recommend taking it as a pre workout, just as a afternoon energy boost or instead of coffee in the mornings.

Another product I tried from Pharm Organics is their Deep Freeze CBD roll on. I am not kidding when I say I have been using this after every workout! The ingredients in it are amazing, all organic obviously. And it feels so nice on sore muscles as well as has the anti inflammatory properties of CBD. The roller ball kind of gives a mini massage! I love to think of it as a cleaner version of all those other muscle relief creams that are not vegan, organic or cruelty free. I love finding the better version of things that already exist! These two products are for sure going to continue to be a staple in my workout routine.

My New Holy Grail Skincare Product: Supple Skincare Dew Drops

You know when you find a product that you like so much you just can’t imagine what you ever did without it? Might be a little dramatic but that is how I feel about Supple Skin Co Dew Drops.

IMG_9741_2_2048x

I found this company on Instagram and since I have been obsessed with everything Hemp related lately I decided I needed to try it out. Since I received my first bottle a few weeks ago I have been applying it to my face every night and sometimes in the morning. The ingredients are absolutely amazing and are as follows: Organic Hemp Oil, Organic Carrot Seed Oil, Lavender

pure essential oil, Frankincense pure essential oil and Tea Tree Pure Essential Oil. Not only are all of these ingredients amazing for your skin but they are clean, vegan and their company is cruelty free of course. Since this is a skincare post this includes some over sharing, but when I first started using this oil my skin had been breaking out. I was getting tiny bumps on my forehead and chin, I was getting blackheads around my nose and on my chin as well. I was also experiencing actual pimples more than normal and I had been blaming it on living in a city and showering in city water… not the best for hair and skin. After using this oil for about a week I noticed a significant reduction in the amount of bumps and blackheads on my face as well as overall improved skin tone evenness, smaller looking pores and just a healthier glow. Now that I have been using it for almost 3 weeks I am so amazed at how much my skin has cleared up and I find myself using less and less makeup or none at all and still feeling like my skin looks good. I also feel really good about using this product because of its simple and effective ingredients. If you read my other post you would know I am transitioning to cleaner beauty products so this definitely hits that mark as well. I wanted to do a longer post about just the dew drops since I have had so many dms about my skincare. If you would like to read more about my transition read my other post!
