You know when you find a product that you like so much you just can’t imagine what you ever did without it? Might be a little dramatic but that is how I feel about Supple Skin Co Dew Drops.

I found this company on Instagram and since I have been obsessed with everything Hemp related lately I decided I needed to try it out. Since I received my first bottle a few weeks ago I have been applying it to my face every night and sometimes in the morning. The ingredients are absolutely amazing and are as follows: Organic Hemp Oil, Organic Carrot Seed Oil, Lavender

pure essential oil, Frankincense pure essential oil and Tea Tree Pure Essential Oil. Not only are all of these ingredients amazing for your skin but they are clean, vegan and their company is cruelty free of course. Since this is a skincare post this includes some over sharing, but when I first started using this oil my skin had been breaking out. I was getting tiny bumps on my forehead and chin, I was getting blackheads around my nose and on my chin as well. I was also experiencing actual pimples more than normal and I had been blaming it on living in a city and showering in city water… not the best for hair and skin. After using this oil for about a week I noticed a significant reduction in the amount of bumps and blackheads on my face as well as overall improved skin tone evenness, smaller looking pores and just a healthier glow. Now that I have been using it for almost 3 weeks I am so amazed at how much my skin has cleared up and I find myself using less and less makeup or none at all and still feeling like my skin looks good. I also feel really good about using this product because of its simple and effective ingredients. If you read my other post you would know I am transitioning to cleaner beauty products so this definitely hits that mark as well. I wanted to do a longer post about just the dew drops since I have had so many dms about my skincare. If you would like to read more about my transition read my other post! Clean Beauty/Wellness Recommendations!

I have had a lot of you guys asking what clean beauty products I use and where I get them! So I decided to do a little blog post, since I haven’t written one in a while! Within the last year I have really been doing a lot of research on ingredients in common makeup and beauty products and I am almost 100% switched over to cleaner options for my beauty and wellness products. In the United States, we have 11 cosmetic ingredients completely banned, that sounds like a good thing until you find out Canada and the EU have over 1,300 ingredients banned. The US hasn’t passed a law regulating the cosmetic industry since 1938 which is INSANE to me that we allow all these nasty chemicals to be in products we put on our bodies. Even things such as baby products and tampons are NOT REGULATED. That is why slowly but surly I am making the switch! Keep reading if you want to know what I use.

The first thing I switched to was a clean deodorant. Regular deodorants have SO many toxic ingredients such as aluminum! I also wanted to detox my body so that I didn’t create as much “BO” in the first place and a clean & natural deodorant can do that. The one that I use is Kopari Beauty Coconut Deodorant! It is also of course vegan and cruelty free! I have been using this for over a year now and I love it! I will never switch back. It takes about a week to detox yourself which they explain how to do that on their Instagram highlights!

The second thing I switched is my toothpaste which is also from Kopari Beauty. I have been loving their charcoal coconut toothpaste which is completely clean and fluoride free. The taste is decent, not like a normal tooth paste that’s for sure. But it’s worth it to have the clean option! I get both Kopari products through Sephora.

The next things I started to switch were any products that go on my skin directly. I have been using Nude by Nature concealer and bronzer. Vapour Beauty foundation and highlighter stick. These brands are both clean and also vegan and cruelty free! There are so many other options I have found out there, if you are interested in looking around Sephora has a “clean beauty marker” that is a little green leaf that pops up when you’re browsing products online. I have also found a lot of new products just by searching “clean beauty” online.

My next is an entire brand that I recently got into which is Milk Makeup. Everything from Milk is paraben free, vegan, and cruelty free. They also have amazing other ingredients as well that are actually good for you! I use their foundation, Kush Mascara, Kush brow, blur stick and their new primer! It’s all amazing so far and I highly recommend this brand.

I also have almost all of my skincare switched as well. I have been using Youth To The People cleanser and masks. Glow Recipe Blueberry Bounce cleanser, Watermelon Moisturizer and Supple Skin Hemp Facial Oil as my main skincare routine. All of these are clean, vegan and cruelty free. The Youth To the People and Glow Recipe I get on Sephora and the facial oil you can find on their website!

The last thing I am putting in this post is probably the one that shocked me the most to find out the ingredients and regulations on.. which is surprisingly no regulation. TAMPONS. Yes a tampon you put inside of your body has absolutely no regulation on disclaiming ingredients which can include bleach! Don’t believe me? Look on your tampons. Bet you won’t find a list of ingredients! That’s because the FDA doesn’t make companies disclose. I have made the switch to 100% organic cotton tampons. My favorite brands are Rael and L. You can get both of these at target or online. I have heard of women having shorter, lighter periods with less or even no cramps at all after switching. Personally I have noticed a shorter and lighter period! And I love knowing my body isn’t absorbing all of the nasties in normal tampons as well.

I will say that not everything I use on the daily is clean, as I am still transitioning and it’s expensive to just switch cold turkey. I am however glad that I am more aware of what I am putting into and on my body and able to make better choices. And of course everything I use is always vegan and cruelty free. Thanks for reading!
